The Seattle Seahawks Select Germain Ifedi to Finish the First Round

The Seattle Seahawks Select Germain Ifedi at No 31 Overall to Round Out the First Round of the 2016 NFL Draft
Germain Ifedi can do a lot of things along the offensive line in the NFL because while he needs some skill refinement, the Texas A&M prospect is a huge guy with a bunch of potential. The Aggies run a strange offensive line to match their high speed offense, so Ifedi often looked out of shape for the system.
Any team that has its o-lineman start in a two point stance hurts their draft value and that’s part of what happened here. The Seahawks will have to teach their massive new prospect how to start in a three point stance and how to play in an NFL system, but he should do much better with those changes.
Seattle added the big guy with the last pick of the first round after trading down when the Broncos targeted Paxton Lynch. Those same Denver Broncos persuaded Russell Okung to leave the Seahawks in free agency, weakening an already below average offensive line.
It is unclear where they want Ifedi to play since they have needs at both guard and tackle, but since the Aggie prospect will need some refining he can learn to play either. He has the physical tools to be a beast in the NFL and the Seahawks feel they can help him turn that potential into results.
Ifedi celebrated the news at home with his family, while others in Chicago will have to wait another day to hear their names called.
