There’s a strong case for the Oakland Raiders drafting the best player this year!

They did it with Khalil Mack in 2014 and went onto Amari Cooper in 2015. Along with Mack in 2014, the Raiders were able to get their franchise quarterback in Derek Carr. The result of getting these guys as well as other players is the Raiders going from 3-13 in 2014 to 7-9 in 2015.

So they picked 10 spots later at No. 14 overall in 2016, making it harder to draft the best player. But in 2016, a few of best players were drafted later than they should have been due to injury. Not everyone in the media gives him those kinds of props but Karl Joseph is among them.

When NFL analyst Deion Sanders asked Joseph at the NFL Scouting Combine if he thought he was the best safety in the 2016 NFL Draft, he said, ” I am the best safety in this draft. I’m trying to tell you, I’m looking in your eyes. I think I’m the best football player in the draft., honestly.”

It always sounds like hot air when players say this but Joseph has a case!
