We all already know that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is the Don King of the NFL. He was able to keep his Cowboys relevant and in the headlines with the most mediocre teams ever. And now, he appears to be trying to keep a player that has a problem with marijuana relevant.

Randy Gregory was picked in the second round of the draft in 2015 after a failed drug test at the scouting combine. He has since earned 4-game for smoking that bud (marijuana) again. He had no sacks in his 12 games last year, yet Jones still promotes Gregory like he’s the heavyweight champ.

He will find anything good that he can to say about him, bragging to the Dallas Morning News about how he had the highest SAT score out of any player he’s ever signed and said that he’s enjoyed recent conversations the two have had together.

He obviously hasn’t given up on him, telling the  Dallas Morning News “There’s no misunderstanding Randy Gregory as to where his obligations are and what he needs to get done,” Jerry Jones said. “We don’t have to worry about that part because he understands.”
