What a Woman Brock Osweiler has

They say behind every great man, there’s a great woman behind him. We’ll, in this case Brock Osweiler has a woman that right there in the trenches with him. I don’t wish this on him but if he and his wife end up getting a divorce, Erin Osweiler deserves half of everything he’s made.

Right now, she is playing the role of offensive coordinator. trying to make it a bit easier on Osweiler in his transition to the Houston Texans’ offensive scheme. The Texans new quarterback explained that cadences and play calling have become easier thanks to his spouse.

Osweiler told ESPN, “My wife will act as the offensive coordinator at times during the evening. “I’ll have her read the full play to me. I’ll sit there and try to picture it, spit it back out to her, make sure I’m verbalizing it the right way so that when I step into the huddle the next day in practice, things are coming out clear.”

In OTAs, Osweiler tried to ingratiate himself in Bill O’Brien’s system, having good and bad days. That’s obviously par for the course with an NFL quarterback learning a new system. But Osweiler had his wife acting as a de facto offensive coordinator after practices between the hours of 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. to help him get acclimated.

Training camp is right around the corner and expectations are high for Osweiler, who just signed a big contract. Poor quarterback play keep the team from going further in the playoffs last season. So if the Texans performance at the position is better in 2016, there will be 53 other players and a coaching staff that loves them some Erin Osweiler.
