Around six weeks ago, Denver Broncos star CB Aquib Talib had an incident at a night club where he was shot in the leg. And from that point speculation rampant about the details of the incident. But more than anything, there were questions as the NFL ran an investigation on it.

Were there any drugs involved?

Did he shoot himself in the leg the way Plaxico Burress did years ago?

Will Talib be disciplined for the incident?

Will he physically be able to play at all in 2016?

With training camps to open in just a couple of weeks, it looks like we’re starting to get answers. Earlier this month, the Dallas Police Department started to answer some questions via NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport that it was an “unknown suspect” that shot Talib.

The DPD report also notes that one gram of marijuana was found by police, but no one was charged. So from there, it doesn’t look like Talib did anything wrong and will likely avoid discipline from the NFL, leaving Talib’s health and availability as the only big question.

And Talib, now walking with a slight limp, seen at teammate T.J. Ward’s celebrity golf tournament on Monday, is putting Broncos fans at ease. He told The Denver Post that he “feels great” and is “back running and everything.” And added that he “should be” ready by training camp.

Talib could start camp on the physically unable to perform list but right now, he looks good to go to start regular season. The Broncos need that if they’re going to defend their Super Bowl title.
