Left Tackle
Starter: Taylor Lewan
Backup: William Poehls
Despite the offseason talk that the Titans could draft a left tackle with the No. 1 pick, Taylor Lewan is back for another year as the starting left tackle. He’s a physical player who excels at opening holes in the running game.
Lewan is a better pass protector than he’s given credit for and has shown improvement each season.
Left Guard
Starter: Quinton Spain
Backup: Brian Schwenke
The big surprise this offseason has been the emergence of Quinton Spain. The second-year undrafted free agent heads into training camp as the odds on favorite to win the starting left tackle position.
Spain’s emergence has given the Titans excellent depth all along the offensive line. They have young talent at each position that could step into the starting lineup when needed.
Center
Starter: Ben Jones
Backup: Andy Gallik
Ben Jones was brought in this offseason to serve as an upgrade at center and provide some leadership to a young offensive line. His presence will help Mariota in his development. Andy Gallik is the backup here mainly because Brian Schwenke is seeing time at left guard.
Right Guard
Starter: Chance Warmack
Backup: Sebastian Tretola
Chance Warmack has the natural ability to be one of the best offensive linemen in the league. He is an explosive athlete for his size and plays with an edge. However, his career has been filled with mixed results. Tennessee didn’t pick up his rookie option which means this could be his last season with the Titans.
Right Tackle
Starter: Jack Conklin
Backup: Jeremiah Poutasi
The Titans orchestrated a draft-day trade in order to land Jack Conklin. He fits in perfectly with the rest of this unit thanks to his toughness and aggressive style of play. Conklin is transition from playing left tackle in college to the right side, but it isn’t anything he can’t handle.
