CB David Amerson will be with the Oakland Raiders another four years!

Tuesday, they signed him to a four-year deal worth up to $38 million. Amerson was up and down in his time with the Washington Redskins. Then after he was cut in 2015, the Raiders claimed Amerson off waivers and reclaimed his career, as he played very well last year.

So GM Reggie McKenzie rewarded Amerson for his stellar play instead of playing games. Some question the extension after one good year while he still had a year left on his rookie deal. But another good year, which he will have, would have made Amerson  much harder to sign.

This was a solid move by McKenzie as a closer look at Amerson’s career says there’s no reason to worry about him going backward and that he will live up to the contract he signed.
