Fullbacks: Marcel Reece, Jamize Olawale

Later on in the season, this will be a hard one but it will be easy during the first four weeks of the season. Marcel Reece, who has been to four straight Pro Bowls, will serve a  four-game suspension for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing drugs.

Reece said an that his body coverted Umcka, a legal plant root extract, into metylhexanimine, an illegal substance. Reece also said the NFL acknowledges Umcka triggered the positive test but it’s still a violation. At the same time, it looks like the Raiders are bringing Jamize Olawale along.

It doesn’t seem like offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave knows how to use Reece. We don’t see him spitting out wide and running deep routes to take advantage of the mismatch he has on him. But I’m going to say at some point, the three-time Pro Bowler and team captain gets his job back.

I know Musgrave likes to run the football a lot but Olawale isn’t exactly a battering ram himself. So he might as well go with the versatile Pro Bowler that you can do so many things with. But Reece is at the end of his contract so if Olawale plays well, the Raiders could leave him in there.
