Since Denver Broncos cornerback Aquib Talib was shot in the leg a couple of months ago, a lot of questions have come up.

Is he okay to play in 2016?

Did he shoot himself in the leg?

Is he in trouble with the law?

Will he face discipline by the NFL?

When will he return to the field?

We’re starting to get answers no as Denver’s police department has not charged Talib for anything as they are still looking for the perpetrator. The NFL is doing their own investigation but unless something comes up that has Talib shooting himself, it will be hard to discipline him.

He started training camp on the non-football injury list, not knowing exactly when he would be back. But after KUSA-TV reported that Talib worked out for coaches in private over the weekend, Talib made it unto the practice field for training camp on Monday.

When speaking to reporters for the first time since suffering the gunshot wound that caused him to miss the first two weeks of training camp, Talib said he “feels great” and that it was “a blessing” to be in camp. And he had nothing to say about the shooting.

After practice Monday, Nicki Jhabvala tweeted that Kubiak said Talib is on a similar camp schedule as OLB Von Miller OT Russell Okung were and didn’t rule out the possibility of Talib playing this preseason.  Talib is to the Broncos’ coverage what Miller is to their pass rush.

So he is indeed a core member of the team that the Broncos are glad to have back to try to defend their Super Bowl title. His one-on-one, bump-and-run coverage allows defensive coordinator Wade Phillips to dial up all those blitzes with Miller, DeMarcus Ware and company.

The Broncos are fortunate here!
