6. Is Robert Griffin III ready to turn his career around?

The Cleveland Browns quarterback position continues to be one of the biggest black holes in sports. They are now turning to the talented but polarizing Robert Griffin III to hopefully solve the problem. This seems like a true boom or bust situation.

Griffin III is a great athlete who has a powerful throwing arm. He has had success in the NFL, but the past few years have been a disaster. His issues are mental where he struggles to make reads and get the ball out quickly.

There’s optimism because Hue Jackson is a good offensive coach and has shown the ability to develop a system that fits his quarterback. This will be his biggest test as Griffin has a lot of areas that need to be fixed.

Things are made more complicated by the fact the roster lacks proven playmakers. Cleveland is relying on young receivers like Corey Coleman, Terrelle Pryor and Rashard Higgins. They are also hoping that Josh Gordon can stay out of trouble and get in shape in time to help when his 4-week suspension ends.

However, the key is Griffin who is being given a great opportunity to revive his career. There are many quarterbacks who get a second chance where there’s a true clean-slate situation.
