The Cleveland Browns offense will be alright!

Head coach Hue Jackson told Cleveland.com of quarterback Robert Griffin III’s performance in the first preseason game,  “There were some things that he did good. Obviously, we can’t have a fumbled snap the second play of the game and you never want to see the turnover.

“But I thought for a guy that hadn’t played in a while, I thought there were some positives there.”

We should also take into consideration that a converted quarterback (Terrelle Pryor) was is best receiver that day. Josh Gordon and 2016 first-round pick Corey Coleman weren’t available. Coleman has been hamstring injury and Gordon has been out with a quad injury.

But Monday, RGIII got one of his top targets back, albeit one he won’t have the first four weeks of the season. He’s been away for a year-plus now because of substance-abuse policy violations. So he needs to get all the work he can in with RGIII for the rest of the preseason.

Gordon sat down with Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer about how he felt coming back.  He said, “I’m glad to be out there with my brothers putting my helmet back on and getting back in the swing of things.”

He also believes he’ll play the way he did in 2013, when he led the league with 1,646 yards. He said, “I’m the same guy. “I’m definitely the same guy. I’m confident in my abilities. I know what I can do.”

Gordon was RGIII’s favorite target at Baylor so it wont take long for the two to rekindle their chemistry. Plus Coleman should be back soon and has a chance to establish himself before Gordon cames back. So if Gordon is 70 percent of what he was on 2013 the Browns’ offense will roll!
