Withthefirstpick 2017 In-Season Weekly Mock Draft: Week 3
What the Lions haven’t replaced from their playoff teams is the wall consisting of Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairly. In the 2016 NFL Draft, they replaced Fairly with run-stuffing defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson. All they need now is a penetrator on the other side to assume Suh’s role.
So in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Lions select Jonathan Allen, who has the speed and quickness to penetrate. The Lions would then control the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball. And they would have a fighting chance in the tough NFC North division they play in.

The Detroit Lions are No. 4 in the NFL in offense now so they must not miss Calvin Johnson much. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is playing better, not depending on one man in the passing game. But when he does, the one man turned out to be someone that can get it done for him.
The Green Bay Packers are known for their solid secondary but Marvin Jones went for over 200 yards on them. I didn’t think Jones would turn out to be this good but playing with A.J. Green can do that to you. There just aren’t enough footballs to go around but now, we’re seeing his potential as a No. 1 receiver.
