Stacy McGee

Stacy McGee is another part of the Raiders getting better against the run. He came out of Oklahoma known as a run stuffer with pass-rush ability he hadn’t put together yet. He fell to the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft because of some off-the-field trouble.

McGee flashed as a rookie, starting five of the Raiders’ last eight games to impress then-head coach Dennis Allen. Allen would then identify him as a “foundational” player to get excited about. But in 2014, a broken hand set him back and he didn’t do much.

Then in 2015, McGee had to earn his way back into the rotation with a new coaching staff. In the process, he started four games and improved on his pass-rush and penetration. He’s always had good speed and quickness for a 6’3″, 310-pound man.

Then this past offseason, he worked on his power and now, he’s a beast, leading the Raiders in sacks (2.5). To let you know how powerful he is now, he’s using moves made known by legend Reggie White. McGee is only scratching the surface so look for him to get even better.
