The week eight NFL Power Rankings bring a new team claiming the top spot. The mighty have fallen and the perennial power house team has reclaimed their number one spot.

The 1972 Miami Dolphins team can pop that champagne again this year as Minnesota was finally defeated. The Philadelphia Eagles knocked off the Vikings by playing defense, altering the NFL Power Rankings. The New England Patriots once again have the best record in the NFL despite an unfavorable start to the season.

Arizona and Seattle needed more than 75 minutes to decide a winner but had to settle with a tie on Sunday Night. Good news is they did make history for being the lowest scoring overtime tie in NFL history. It was also a tie for being the second lowest scoring Sunday Night football game.

The New York Jets needed two quarterbacks to play to get the win. While the New York Giants had to travel across the pond for their defense to finally control a game. The Miami Dolphins like playing against top-tier teams because that is when they win.

AJ Greene had an unbelievable grab in the end zone as Cincinnati was able to get their offense going. After being up by 17 points Atlanta fell to the San Diego Chargers in overtime. The Oakland Raiders know how to win on the road going 4-0 while away from home. While Pittsburgh found out they will be without Ben Roethlisberger longer than expected.
