NFL Power Rankings Week 8
4. Denver Broncos – 5-2
The Denver Broncos get the win over the Houston Texans after loosing two straight games. The Broncos welcomed Brock Osweiler back to Denver by never letting him get comfortable in the pocket. The Broncos defense had Osweiler struggling, denying him a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball Trevor Siemian, Peyton Manning’s successor, played better than Osweiler. Siemian went 14 of 25 for 157 yards and a touchdown. Gary Kubiak returned to the sideline this week after missing due to a health issue.
On defense neither team was able to get a sack or an interception. But Denver was able to force two fumbles. The Broncos held the Texans without a touchdown and only allowed them to score nine points. The Broncos scored 27 points in their victory.
Next week the Broncos have a rematch with the Chargers. In their first meeting the Broncos were without their head coach. This time around, the Broncos will be out to get revenge on Chargers. The AFC West is tight with all four teams still in the running. Currently in second place the Broncos can’t afford to lose to the Chargers twice.
