2. player. 42. At 6’5″, 262 pounds with long arms and burst off the edge, Myles Garrett is the perfect edge-rusher specimen. He also comes equipped with a long-running motor, technique and the ability to convert speed to power. And when you add that inside spin move to his game, there’s nothing he can’t do. <p>Garrett could have been a Top-10 pick last year but wasn’t eligible to come out in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has improved since then and looks ready to go to the NFL and have an immediate impact. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers defense has lost a lot of players off that great 2012 defense.</p> <p>Young DEs Arik Armstead and DeForest Buckner are two 1st-round picks that will be studs soon. And if Navorro Bowman can stay healthy, the ILB position will be solidified and they have an improved secondary. Garrett is the perfect prospect to replace Aldon Smith, as losing him has affected the defense.</p> <p>It looks like the offense will be okay with QB Colin Kaepernick getting back into the swing of things. The defense just needs a shot in the arm and Garrett is the guy that can give it to them right away. However, Kelly may want to help that defense by slowing down the tempo so they can rest.</p>. OLB.
