30. As soon as this season is over, the New York Jets need to let QB Ryan Fitzpatrick walk without talking to him. Christian Hackenberg, the future of the position, can do what Fitzpatrick is doing right now. But I’m sure he’ll do a lot better than that when he’s ready next year. <p>On defense, head coach Todd Bowles likes to blitz a lot but they don’t get to the QB a lot. They have the best 3-4 DE combination in football with Leonard Williams and Muhammad Wilkerson. Sheldon Richardson isn’t working out to well for the Jets coming off the edge.</p> <p>So the best thing the Jets could do to make their defense dominant is to draft an edge rusher early. And Tim Williams is the perfect 3-4 OLB prospect for them to bring in and plug in right away. The kid has a Derrick Thomas-like get-off and burst off the edge with counter moves.</p> <p>He has also improved immensely in setting the edge in the running game and will only get better. When the Jets get Met-Life Stadium rocking, Williams will draw more than his fair share off false starts. And opposing QB won’t have time to go deep on the Jet’s secondary with this pick.</p>. OLB.
