NFL Power Rankings Week 11
17. Miami Dolphins -5-4
With the game tied at 24, Kiko Alonso intercepted Philip Rivers and returned it 57 yards for a go-ahead touchdown. That touchdown proved to be just enough to give the Miami Dolphins a 31-24 victory over the San Diego Chargers.
Ryan Tannehill went 17-of-24 for 240 yards for two touchdowns. Jay Ajayi was held to 78 yards on 19 rushes. This is the first game Ajayi didn’t get over 100 yards in three games.
The Dolphins intercepted Rivers four times within 13 minutes in the fourth quarter to come out ahead. Now the Dolphins are two games behind the New England Patriots in the AFC East. The Dolphins have turned what looked like was going to be a bad season around in a matter of weeks.
The Dolphins rejuvenated running game has been a big factor in their turn around. The running game has made Tannehill more comfortable in the pocket, which has led to better decisions. This week, the Dolphins play the LA Rams, which is win for the Dolphins if the defense plays well.
