27. LA Rams – 4-5
The Rams defeated the Jets 9-6, on Greg Zuerline’s three field goals. Alec Ogletree intercepted Bryce Petty with under two minutes left to seal the Rams victory. This was a much-needed win.The offense only had a total of 280 yards in this defensive battle.
Case Keenum threw eight interceptions in his last four games, but against the Jets he had no turnovers. Keenum went 17-of-30 for 165 yards. Todd Gurley rushed 21 times for 64 yards. Gurley has had trouble running the ball this season.
But against the Jets, he was finally able to find holes for good gains. The Rams sit in third place in the NFC West. They are only two games behind the leader. Jeff Fisher is holding out the rookie Jared Goff. When do you bring in Goff to see what he has?
Keenum is struggling and it wouldn’t be a terrible decision to see what the rookie has in him. Up next, the Rams play the Dolphins. The Dolphins have been hot as of late and will be a challenge. The Rams will have to stop the Dolphins running game in order to have a chance.
