NFL Power Rankings Week 11
28. New York Jets – 3-7
The Jets started Bryce Petty against the LA Rams. Ryan Fitzpatrick hurt his knee last week but was available as the back up quarterback for the Jets. Petty held his own in this low scoring game. The only score by the Jets was the only touchdown of the game.
Nick folk missed the extra point. This game was a defensive battle, with the Rams pulling off a 9-6 victory. The Jets had a chance to win or tie the game but Petty threw an interception. That game ending interception was the first turnover in the game.
Petty went 19-of-32 for 163 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Matt Forte rushed 20 times for 98 yards. The offensive line protected Petty, only allowing one sack. But still, the Jets offense only had a total of 296 yards.
The Jets have a decision going forward, whether to keep Fitzpatrick as their starter or let Petty continue to start. This week, they have a bye giving, Fitzpartick more time to relax. Petty played decent in his first game. The Jets need to figure out which quarterback they will benefit more from going forward.
