7. New York Giants – 6-3

The New York Giants pulled out a 21-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals to stay in second place in the NFC East. On the Giants first drive, they moved down the field with ease to score a touchdown. Then they watched as the Bengals did the same thing tying the game at 7.

After the opening drive, both offenses fell flat until the second quarter. Eli Manning went 28-of-44 for 240 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Odell Beckham Jr. grabbed 10 receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown.

The Giants came into the game averaging 68 rushing yards a game. In this game they found a way to get the runing game going. Rashad Jennings rushed 15 times for 87 yards and Paul Perkins rushed nine times for 31 yards.

The running game actually helped them run out the clock to seal the win. Holding on to a one-point lead, the Giants had the ball with under three minutes remaining in the game. Jennings ran for two key first downs to allow the Giants to line up in victory formation.

The Giants are in second place in the best division of the NFL. The NFC East has not had a wild card team in the playoffs in the last six seasons. They are hoping to change that. This week the Giants play the Chicago Bears.
