NFL Power Rankings Week 11
8. Atlanta Falcons – 6-4
The Falcons only scored 15 points in their 24-15 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Ryan was in a position to lead the Falcons to a victory, but threw an interception with under a minute left. The Falcons came into the game averaging 33 points per game.
Matt Ryan went 18-of-33 for 267 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Julio Jones grabbed 10 receptions for 135 yards. This high-powered offense was held to one touchdown and three field goals.
The defense had trouble stopping the Eagles rushing attack. But they did sack Carson Wentz twice and forced a fumble. The defense held the Eagles scoreless in the second quarter, but gave up 14 points in the fourth.
The Falcons are still in first place in the NFC South. Their once commanding lead on the division is now only a two game lead. They control their own destiny. They faltered in this game, but will have no problem getting back to dominating teams with their offense.
This week, they have a bye. They can use the time off to figure out and fix what happened against the Eagles.
