Previous: 31st. San Francisco 49ers. 31. team. 42. The San Francisco 49ers came up just short against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins held on in the final seconds to beat the 49ers 31-24. This loss officially eliminated the 49ers from the playoffs. They have now lost 10 straight games for the first time in franchise history. <p>The 49ers had a chance to win the game. They were down 31-24 with five seconds left and had the ball on the six yard-line. On second down Colin Kaepernick’s pass was batted down. On third down he tried to run for it but got tackled by Ndamukong Suh and Kiko Alonso to end the game.</p> <p>Kaepernick went 29-of-46 for 296 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed 10 times for 113 yards. That is the most rushing yards by a quarterback this season. Kaepernick if the fifth player since the merger with 100 rushing yards and three passing touchdowns in a game.</p> <p>The 49ers have nothing to lose going forward. They have been knocked out of the playoffs. This week, they play the Chicago Bears. The 49ers offense is getting better every week. It is going to be hard for the Bears to stop them.</p>. 1-10
