4. Chris Wormley, Defensive End, Michigan
Chris Wormley played in the Michigan defense, which was one of the best this season. Wormley is versatile and can play as an end or on the defensive line. He is also good on special teams and has a couple of blocked kicks. This would be beneficial for the Giants and would give them depth on defense.
Wormley was elected captain on the Wolverine defense and started all 12 games at the defensive end position. He has a nose for the ball. Wormley has six sacks on the season. Whether he lines up on the opposite side of JPP inside, he will rush the passer.
The Giants need another pass rusher on the defense. With the defense getting better every week, the Giants would like to add depth to keep players fresh. Wormley will give the Giants the option to bulk up the defensive line or create a pass rush from every angle.
For his career with the Wolverines, Wormely has 32.5 tackles for loss and 18 sacks. This season he has 8.5 tackles for a loss. Wormley is quick off the edge and gets to the players before they have a chance to decide where to go. Wormely will fit in perfectly with the Giants defense.
