USC. Juju Smith-Schuster. 32. player. 47. It doesn’t matter what the Patriots do in this draft, they’re going to win regardless. They traded away two of their edge rushers and the defense still does enough to win games. Tom Brady was suspended for four games and they went 3-1 without him.
Backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo gets hurt after two games and they go 1-1 without him. That’s after the second-string quarterback goes out with an injury without the first-stringer. Bill Belichick plans for and around everything and the wins keep coming.

But here, with the last pick in the first round, we’ll say his plans include receiver Juju Smith-Schuster. Brady wants to play another five years and a guy like Smith Schuster would help with that. The passing game would have a true No. 1 receiver for the first time since Randy Moss.

And they would still have two great TEs, two great slot WRs and a good receiving RB. And of course, they still have the running game with Blount carrying the load. It’s hard not to see the Patriots going back to the Super Bowl under those circumstances.
. WR
