The New Orleans Saints defense is a better than last year with new DC Dennis Allen at the controls. They’ve even gotten better over the year as 2016 1st-round pick has much to do with it. But that defense still has a ways to go before the Saints can call themselves contenders.
The offense is solid because it has had it’s leader in franchise QB Drew Brees all these years. There is no such thing on the other side of the ball as they are often directionless on the field. It’s been a long time since the Saints had a face to associate with the defense.
<div class=. When you’re the face of a unit, not only do have to play well be you have to hold others accountable. In order to do that, you have to know what everyone on your unit is supposed to do. There is more talent than you think on the Saints defense as it is now.

But a few or even a lot of good individuals can’t get it done in the NFL, it has to be collective. So at No. 15 overall, the Saints select ILB Raekwon McMillan to bring that defense together. Once that defense come together, we’re going to see the Saints start winning again.
