Washington. John Ross. 18. player. 48. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense is coming around as they are just out of the playoff picture. On offense, QB Jameis Winston is getting it done, lifting his team up to another level. And WR Mike Evans is helping him along with his best season in the NFL.
But the Sun may be setting on the great career of WR Vincent Jackson these days. And opposing defenses will look at this year’s film and do everything they can to take Evans away. Winston needs better protection but there isn’t anything here worth a No. 18 overall.

But the two guys at left OT with 1st-round grades are long gone when the Buccaneers are up to pick. So with that No. 18 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Buccaneers take WR John Ross out of Washington. He’s not very big but has blazing speed and he’s a smooth route-runner.

He can play in the slot of Jackson if back to his old self or outside with his speed. Winston would then be ready to take the Buccaneers to the playoffs in 2017, his third year. That defense is coming along so there’s no telling how far they would be able to go.
. WR
