44. The Atlanta Falcons are as explosive as they need to be on the offensive side of the ball. They just need a defense that doesn’t allow opposing teams to keep up with them. A better pass rush would go a long way toward getting the Falcons’ defense there.

Vic Beasley, the team’s 2015 1st-round pick, has gotten there as he leads the league in sacks. But as a team, the falcons are in the middle of the pack because they need an interior presence. DeMarcus Lawrence is the perfect pick for the Falcons here at No. 29 overall.

Lawrence draws comparisons to Michael Bennett, who head coach Dan Quinn coached in Seattle. At around 6’3″, 285 pounds, he’s a power rusher at DE and a speed rusher when lined up at DT. He tied for the FBS lead in sacks this year so that’s something in knows how to do.

Like Bennett, Quinn could line Lawrence up at base DE in regular packages and DT in sub packages. Lawrence is also tough against the run so he will help the team there too. He would be a difference-maker immediately and help the Falcons become contenders.
. DL. Florida State. DeMarcus Walker. 29. player
