ILB. Alabama. Reuben Foster. 14. player. 46. The Indianapolis Colts are back as far as the offense goes with quarterback Andrew Luck. The Colts defense needs a lot of things these days outside of safety.
They are hurting at linebacker, edge rusher and on the interior of the defensive line right now. While this draft is deep in cornerbacks, the Colts defense needs a leader to replace Jerrell Freeman. Alabama inside linebacker Reuben Foster is the best man for the job here.
<div class=

Foster is a physical take-on linebacker that also has the quickness to go sideline to sideline. He also has the instincts and film study to diagnose plays and athleticism for pass coverage. Plus he comes from a pro style, 3-4 defense at Alabama so he’ll know what’s going on.

He will be able to go to Indianapolis and take a leadership role on that defense right away. And he will improve the defense to the point where they can compete for the AFC South title. Foster would be a great pick for the Colts right here at No. 14 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.
