DT. Alabama. Jonathan Allen. 1. player. 53. Jonathan Allen and Myles Garrett are No. 1 and 1A in my opinion of draft prospects this year. But the fastest way to rebuild or build a contender is around an interior D-lineman. Mean Joe Greene, Richard Seymour, and Warren Sapp made everyone around them better.
The double-teams they took against the run allowed the LBs behind them to run to the ball. Against the pass they took the double and triple-teams so their DEa can go one on one with OTs. Allen looks to be on par with dominant DTs like that plus the Browns like their DEs.

They switched from a 3-4 to a 4-3 so Emmanuel Ogbah and Carl Nassib can focus on rushing the passer. Adding Allen as a three-technique would do nothing but make those two better. Allen would go to Cleveland, make everyone around him better and take the Browns upward.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot reported that new Browns QB coach David Lee likes Tyrod Taylor “a lot.” Lee worked with Taylor in Buffalo and Taylor is a massive upgrade over what the Browns have now. The Browns may be able to compete a little with Taylor while the Browns develop a QB.
