Florida State. DeMarcus Walker. 31. player. 44. The Atlanta Falcons have to work on that defense to get back to the Super Bowl. No NFL team is supposed to give up a 25-point lead in less than one half of football. The way any NFL team comes back from such a big lead is throwing the football down the field.
And the best way to combat that is putting a ton of pressure on the opposing QB. And the Falcons had their moments but didn’t get to the QB consistently in 2016. The only guy on the team that was a consistent threat to sack opposing QBs is OLB Vic Beasley.

So the Falcons need more guys that can put pressure on the QB in order to sustain leads. Florida State’s DeMarcus Walker mastered sacking the QB from multiple positions in college. He’s not a dynamic athlete but he’s as polished and productive a pass rusher there is coming out.

He has an abundance of hand fighting techniques and an assortment of counter moves. The bottom line is Walker just knows how to get to the QB and could help the Falcons immediately. This would make it harder for opposing teams to come back from big leads on them.
. DL
