Marshon Lattimore. 6. player. 30. All indications these days point to CB Darrelle Revis being released by the New York Jets soon. So the Jets should be looking for a young stud at the CB position in this draft. And there just so happens to be one that fits the man-to-man, bump-and-run scheme.

HC Todd Bowles likes to blitz a lot so such a CB is the ideal pick here at No. 6 overall. At 6’1″, 200 pounds, Marcus Lattimore has the size, speed length and strength just for that. So he is a great bump and run CB and can disrupt WR’s routes consistently.

He also has quick feet and fluid hips to flip and mirror so he rarely gets caught out of position. It would have been nice if Revis had a couple of more good years left to mentor Lattimore. But that’s a lot of money to pay a mentor so he has likely played his last down as a Jet.

Then Lattimore eventually takes Revis spot and the Jets can continue their style of defense.. Combined with the solid front-seven they have, the defense could be tough in 2017. And if QB Christian Hackenberg is ready, the Jets could make a climb up the standings.
. CB. Ohio State
