There isn’t a HC in the NFL that wants their QB to be the leading rusher on their team. So after Fournette goes to the Jaguars at No. 4 overall, Rivera will take Dalvin Cook at No. 8 overall. While Fournette is the muscle car of this RB class, Cook is the Ferrari of it.
We’ll see what his 40 is but Cook reminds me a lot of former Titans RB Chris Johnson. He has the vision to find running lanes, the shiftiness to make you miss and the speed to close the deal. Once Cook gets out ahead, you can’t have him back because you won’t catch him.

He’ll fit well with Newton as he carries out bootleg fakes and runs an occasional spread option. Then when everyone is around the line of scrimmage, Newton can get the vertical game going. Cook is also a receiving threat out of the backfield, in the slot, and out wide.

And when the blitz is coming, he isn’t afraid to stick his neck in there to protect his QB. There are many that make a case for Cook being better that Fournette and there is some merit to it. Cook looks faster, he’s more elusive and catches the ball better than Fournette does.
. RB. Florida State. Dalvin Cook. 8. player. 87
