Adrian Peterson + Oakland Raiders = Super Bowl
Adrian Peterson, one of the game’s all-time greats, just had his option denied in Minnesota. Now, there is reason to believe he could be an Oakland Raider soon!
The Oakland Raiders have Derek Carr at QB and Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree at WR. Then of course, they have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL right now. They were No. 6 in the NFL in rushing with the very average Latavius Murray as the lead back.
Meanwhile, RB Adrian Peterson just played with one of the worst offensive lines in football. He had no one special at QB and his WR corps wasn’t the best with the Minnesota Vikings either. So he averaged just 1.9 per carry on the ground before getting injured.
Peterson hasn’t lost his speed, ability to cut, vision or power and he still wants to be the best. Of course, that would include going to the Super Bowl and winning it. The Super Bowl is also where the Raiders want to go so you can see how both sides can help each other.
According to Chris Tomasson, who covers the Vikings, there’s a strong possibility Peterson becomes a Raider. He posted on his Twitter account about how strong of a possibility it is.
The defense will improve with the hire of John Pagano as most of the talent is there. And if the Raiders can add Peterson to this offense even at 32, they would be unstoppable. They could then finally put an end to the dynasty they started in the early 2000s.
