Bottom Line

McCaffrey plays for God and his family name, two things that are much bigger than himself. So he plays the game much bigger than he is, having no problems on the field because of his size. Remember, Jamaal Charles is 5’11”, 199 pounds and is the career YPC leader.

McCaffrey can run inside because he can see the smallest of creases when they open up. And his patience enables him to run in the zone blocking scheme and the power scheme. His moves have moves to make defenders miss and at his size, he’s not easy to bring down.

Then once he gets out ahead, you can’t have him back because he has the speed to finish. Remember, we are not looking at a finished product when we look at McCaffrey. Including upside, Pro Football Focus likes to compare him to Marshall Faulk.

With the way he turns is body, I think he’s more like Allen but will never be the blocker he was. Either way, he’s 8-10 pounds away from being that bell-cow can change a game is so many ways.. And once he gets into NFL weight room, he will get there.

Look out NFL, McCaffrey is coming!
