Tennessee. Derek Barnett. 11. player. 15. When you have the best offense in the NFL, you’re supposed to at least make the playoffs. But the New Orleans Saints defense has been so bad lately, they won’t allow it. A great offense and a defense that bad can go either way for a team every week. <p>And the Saints had a few of those can-go-either-way games too may go the wrong way. As opposing QBs try to keep up with Drew Brees and the offense, the Saints need to rush them. Cameron Jordan did his thing at one DE and DT Sheldon Rankins showed something when he did play.</p> <p>Perhaps a solid edge rusher on the other side of Jordan would do the trick.Derek Barnett was extremely productive in college and has what it takes to be a great edge rusher in the NFL. He has a great get-off, a variety of hand move and, great power to bull rush.</p> <p>The New Orleans Saints have liked him for a while but his performance at will hook them. He had the best 3-cone drill time among DEs but that isn’t it.. It was the fact that he was weak with a virus and still competed, showing you can count on him. </p>. DE
