UCLA. Takkarist McKinley. 16. player. 26. The Baltimore Ravens still have a solid defense as they’ve always had throughout. But they didn’t quite get after opposing QBs the way they traditionally have in 2016. OLB Elvis Dumervil has started to decline so he won’t be with the team in 2017.
Terrell Suggs still got it as of last year but he only has but so many quality years left. So right now is as good a time as any for the Ravens to start looking to add an OLB in the draft. Someone to play with then eventually replace as the primary edge rusher is needed..

At 6’2″, 250 pounds and 34 3/4-inch long arms, Takkarist McKinley from UCLA is the man for the job. He was projected in the lower part of the first round in the beginning. But his stock went way up after he ran a 4.59 40 at the combine Sunday.

To go with that speed and long arms, McKinley can convert speed to power and has a relentless motor. Having a guy like Suggs advising him for a couple of years would go a long way. Then after a couple of years, the Ravens have their great edge rusher after Suggs retires.
. OLB
