50. The Detroit Lions would have won the NFC North if not for the will of Aaron Rodgers. To win the NFC North in 2016, the Lions need to do something about Rodgers’ will. The most effective way to break the will of any QB is to constantly hit him.
That is something the Lions weren’t able to do so well in 2016. DE Ezekiel Ansah struggled with injuries last year and should be back with good health this year. But they still need the interior presence they haven’t had since they lost to Ndamukong Suh.

I’ve had Malik McDowell from Michigan State slotted here at No. 21 overall for a while. And at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine, McDowell showed why he gets picked here. He came in a 6’6″, 295 pounds with 35-inch long arms and he ran a 4.85 40.

So he has the size and length to be a 3-4 DE and the quickness to be 4-3 three-technique. He has some things so clean up but he can be unblockable when he wants to be. He can go up the street to Detroit and upgrade the pass rush immensely.
. DT. Michigan State. Malik McDowell. 21. player
