31. QB Eli Manning still has a couple of quality years in him but he needs a running game. So after cutting Rashad Jennings, the New York Giants should draft one. The Giants definitely need to run the ball better for both for Manning and that solid defense.
Christian McCaffrey can help the Giants with that and give Manning another passing target. He’s just as good as he is the other and players like that are good for offenses. He closed the gap between himself and the top two RBs (Cook and Fournette) at the combine.

He outran both of them with a 4.48 40-yard dash and recorded the second fastest 3-cone drill ever at 6.57. But it was the football-related drills that he separated himself the most. He was so fluid when changed direction, it looked like the easiest thing he ever did.

Then he separated himself more when the RBs started catching passes and did some WR work after. He’s a weapon the will help Manning out in more ways than two. And he can be the difference that pushes the Giants further into the playoffs next year.
. RB. Stanford.
