Washington. Sidney Jones. 6. player. 30. Now, we know that once great CB Darrelle Revis will not be back with the New York Jets in 2017. The Jets are a blitzing team with a lot of one-on-one, bump-and-run coverage behind it. So they need to replace Revis with that type of CB so their defense can work.
Lattimore just went to No 5 overall to the Titans so the Jets take the other option in Sidney Jones. Lattimore never showed that he was better than Jones, it just depends on what you like. He has a lot in common with Kansas City Chiefs CB Marcus Peters, who also went to Washington.

He has quick feet and fluid hips to flip and mirror so he rarely gets caught out of position. Jones is also solid in run support, fighting through blocks. and making the sure tackle in space. Lattimore is a competitor that will give you everything he has in all aspects of the game.

But the difference between Jones and Peters is Jones is faster as he ran a 4.47 he ran at the combine. In 2017, the Jets would be replacing an old shutdown CB with a young one. That would enable them to continue to play with the style of defense and build from there.
. CB
