6. New York Jets- Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina

The Jets quarterback situation is a complete mess and it appears likely they target one early in the 2017 NFL Draft. Trubisky appears to be the most likely quarterback to be selected in the 1st round.

I personally have a late 2nd round grade on Trubisky and only see Deshaun Watson as a 1st round prospect.

7. Los Angeles Chargers- Jamal Adams, S, LSU

The Chargers would see this as a dream scenario if Jamal Adams would fall to the 7th pick. Adams is an aggressive defender who makes plays all over the field. He’d be one of the last pieces to the Chargers defensive puzzle.

8. Carolina Panthers, Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State

Carolina needs to add talent to the back end of their defense. They believe that a defense wins with its front-7, but to get the most out of that strategy they need a safety capable of generating turnovers.

Hooker fits that bill perfectly as someone with elite ball skills. He’ll take advantage of the poor throws created by the Panthers defensive line.

9. Cincinnati Bengals- Mike Williams, WR, Clemson

The Bengals lost a lot of talent in free agency– especially along the offensive line. However, they prepared for this by drafting Jake Fisher and Cedric Ogbuehi in recent drafts. The area they haven’t addressed is the wide receiver position.

Teaming Mike Williams with A.J. Green would create a major matchup problem for opposing defenses.

10. Buffalo Bills- Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan

The Bills rely heavily on Sammy Watkins to provide explosive plays, but his injury history has made him unreliable. Buffalo needs to find someone capable of filling in for Watson and also providing another overall option.

Corey Davis is a physical player who is an excellent route runner. He’s someone who will make an instant impact as a rookie.
