The Chicago Bears made a lot of moves during the first few days that have made an impact on my latest Chicago Bears 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

Like a lot of teams across the league, the Chicago Bears addressed some need during the early part of free agency. Their biggest addition was quarterback Mike Glennon who is projected to be the starter for next season.

For Chicago, the storyline has been more about who they didn’t add than who was signed. The Bears were linked to big-name players like Stephon Gilmore, A.J. Bouye, Ricky Wagner, Terrelle Pryor and their own player Alshon Jeffery.

General Manager Ryan Pace appears to have played it safe rather than meet the contract demands of the players mentioned above. Both Gilmore and Bouye received huge contracts which in time could prove troublesome.

The moves the Bears did make aren’t the type that should have an impact on their draft strategy. Signing Marcus Wheaton shouldn’t stop the Bears from drafting a wide receiver if they like the value.

It’s the same scenario for the cornerback position as Prince Amukamara and Marcus Cooper shouldn’t keep the Bears from targeting a top-end cornerback prospect. In fact, they could use their 1st round pick to address the long-term stability at the position.
