2nd Round, No. 43 overall- Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo

Philadelphia did a great job adding some big-play receivers in free agency with Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith. However, they didn’t address their need for upgraded talent at the running back spot. The Eagles need to find someone who can provide some consistency in the ground game.

Toledo’s Kareem Hunt is an every-down back who can contribute both as a runner and pass catcher. He has a physical running style which allows him to pick up yards after contact. Hunt features the vision and burst to avoid carries for loss.

His hands and ability to create in space gives him the potential to be a major contributor in the passing game. This versatility would be a welcome addition and help take pressure off of Carson Wentz.

Texas’ D’Onta Foreman is another running back prospect that would make sense for the Eagles. He’s a bigger running back who also a has the burst to break off long runs.

The 2nd round will be a good spot for the Eagles to add another cornerback to the mix. This draft is very deep at the position with a strong likelihood of finding an immediate starter in the 2nd round. Someone like Colorado’s Chidobe Awuzie would be an option.
