The 2017 class of NFL free agency period is off and running. The big-time players in their prime aren’t there like they have been but you can still fill some needs. And some the NFL teams have done so, setting up this mock draft.

We are a few days into free agency with many of the better players in it signing their deals. A lot of teams picking up needs in free agency so they can get the player they like in the draft. Some of these teams have even signed players to fit around the player they intend to pick.

That way, these picks are in position to make a big, immediate impact on these teams. Therefore, this mock draft won’t quite be the same as the last one. However, DE Myles Garrett from Texas A&M, obviously the best prospect in the 2017 NFL Draft, remains No. 1.

He’s by far the best prospect so we would all be shocked if the Cleveland Browns didn’t pick him. As I’ve said before, someone should get fired if the Browns don’t pick Garrett. The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine let us know who the best prospects are.

And free agency is showing us how each team is positioning itself to pick them.
