Notre Dame. DeShone Kizer. 13. player. 32. The Arizona Cardinals mainly re-signed their own guys with a couple of replacement signings here and there. They have a good roster but pick No. 13 overall because of the injuries on the O-line last year. But they’re back healthy with QB Carson Palmer and in win-now mode.
But with Palmer subject to retire at any time, they Cardinals want a potential franchise QB on the roster..The Cardinals could probably stand to tighten up the secondary but this is a deep class.. They can get starting CBs and Ss from the second round all the way to the fourth.

So they grab Kizer, the QB in this class with the most upside, to mold into Palmer’s replacement in Round 1. Kizer is 6’5″, 233 pounds, athletic, has a big arm and comes from a pro style offense at Notre Dame. What I like most is his ability to throw with accuracy when he’s going to get hit.

There’s plenty of time to fix his flaws as the Cardinals don’t expect him to start right away. Palmer just can’t get hurt or they need to get a solid backup to make sure they don’t have to play Kizer. This move would be made for the future and with Kizer’s upside, I have to say it’s a good one.
. QB
