Ohios State. Marshon Lattimore. 6. player. 30. It doesn’t look like once great CB Darrelle Revis will be back with the New York Jets in 2017. With the way things have gone off the field lately, it’s fair to wonder if he’ll play in the NFL anymore at all. That leaves the Jets, a blitzing, man-to-man defensive team, needing a CB.
With Sidney Jones now out with an Achilles, Marshon Lattimore is the clear-cut best CB prospect. Before Jones’ injury, I had the Titans taking Lattimore at No. 5 and Jones here at No. 6 overall. But the Jets caught a break after the injury because the Titans got a CB in free agency.

So the Jets end up with Lattimore, who was always a better fit for the Jets’ style of defense.. He has great size, length, recovery speed and is as physical as you want at the line of scrimmage. Lattimore also has that dog him that you want you bump-and-run CB to have.

The Jets haven’t done much in free agency so far so it looks like they’re building through the draft. And replacing an old shutdown CB with a young one in the draft is a good idea here. It looks like a long rebuild but Lattimore and 2016 second-round QB can make it shorter. .
. CB
