And here at No. 14 overall, Marlon Humphrey is a good fit for the team to bring in. Humphrey is 6’0″, 200 pounds and has 32 1/4-inch long arms and good strength, making him perfect for press coverage. He also has the great feet and fluid hips with blazing 4.4 speed to excel at off coverage.

He was taught well at Alabama so he also has the instincts to read routes and jump them in zone coverage. Humphrey is what you call a versatile CB so he will fit into whatever coverages the Eagles choose to run. Humphrey and another CB could turn the Eagles into a factor in the NFC East immediately.

The Philadelphia Eagles made some good moves this offseason, bringing in WRs Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith. That will be a big help to franchise QB hopeful Carson Wentz, who had a so-so rookie year. He already has a great offensive line protecting him so we will get to see if he can shine.

Defensively, the Eagles have a formidable front-seven that can get after opposing QBs pretty well. The problem on that defense is they don’t get the coverage they need from their CBs to make things happen. This is a good year for the Eagles to need a CB because there are plenty in this draft.
