24. player. 28. The Oakland Raiders have a young team that went to the playoffs last year returning. It’s too bad QB Derek Carr got injured or there’s no telling how far they could have gone. But he’ll be back and better than ever as the Raiders went out and got him more weapons.
The Raiders are now a lot faster on offense after signing WR/KR Cordarrelle Patterson and TE Jared Cook. They still have one of the best offensive lines in football and we’ll see if they get RB Marshawn Lynch. One thing the Raiders have to do is get better on the defensive side of the ball.
<div class=. S. Connecticut. Obi Melifonwu

And S Obi Melifonwu is the perfect player to go in solve the Raiders’ problem with TEs. At 6’4″, 225 pounds, the former CB still has hips like one and 4.40 40 speed to go with it. He has everything you need to shut down those athletic TEs that are coming into the NFL these days.

He also has great range as a single-high S for the times Karl Joseph covers the slot. The Raiders would have the best safety tandem for years to come with Melifonwu and Joseph. And they’d no longer have TEs like Travis Kelce killing them in the passing game.
