UCLA. Fabian Moreau. 29. player. 49. I love Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers’ will down the stretch in 2016, getting his team into the playoffs. But unfortunately for the Packers, the defense, particularly the CBs, couldn’t play on that level. They actually let Rodgers down last year as the gave up all kinds of big plays.
Sam Shields, the one CB the Packers had that could cover, is gone after one concussion too many. As far as the defensive front-7 goes, they are in good shape even though Julius Peppers is gone. The team re-signed Nick Perry so he’ll be back to rush off the opposite edge as Clay Matthews.
<div class=. CB

So the overhauling of the CB position needs to start right here in the first round of the draft. And Fabian Moreau is a good player to start the Packers’ CB room all over from scratch with. Moreau is a late-riser in this draft as his performance at the combine is what got him noticed.

At 6’0″, 206 pounds, Moreau ran a 4.35 40 to show us the same make-up speed he showed on tape. He also showed of a 38-inch vertical leap that he uses to go up and fight for it on jump balls. But it all starts at the line of scrimmage for Mareau, where his is extremely physical.

The Packers mainly stay in press coverage so Moreau as is a great fit with them. This is a deep CB class so the Packers may want to take another shot at the CB position later on in this draft. But the Packers got off to a good start at the position with this pick at No. 29 overall.
