Let no man including myself question what Mark Davis can do now! He pulled off an incredible caper, getting his team to Las Vegas.

First, I want to send my condolences to the true founders of Raider Nation in the Bay Area. I myself am from the Bay Area and know the Oakland Raiders are a culture and a movement they started. Everyone else hopped on the bandwagon because they liked the culture.

Now, I live here in Las Vegas and never thought they should or would end up here. I don’t like my emotions getting played with so when Raiders-to-Las Vegas first started, I called it a pipe dream. I thought Davis was grasping for straws because Los Angeles didn’t work out.

He was up against too many things to make it all the way and many of them went wrong. He didn’t have enough money, no business acumen, no pull, all he has is the Raiders. But I’m eating barbecue crow’s feet dipped in ranch as I write this because he pulled it off!

I don’t know if you want to call it business acumen but he has something to do what it did. He got Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson to strong-arm local legislatures out of $750 million. Then he tossed him out on his ear and proceeded to claim his world-class stadium.

He’s borrowing money, which is a risk, but he didn’t have to do as much as sell some of the team. Adelson usually uses people for his benefit but Davis flipped the whole script on him. The owners had to vote him in after that because that was a G-move!

The same way he earned the respect of the owners, he earned mine.

Congratulations Mark, you did that!

I didn’t think you had it in you!
